| OVERVIEW | The funding sources for this solicitation is the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act Grant Program. Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF) is the federal agency that administers FVPSA State Formula Grant Funds to U.S. states and territories. ACYF is committed to facilitating healing and recovery, and promoting the social and emotional well-being of victims, children, youth, and families who have experienced domestic violence, maltreatment, exposure to violence, and trauma. An important component of promoting well-being in this regard includes addressing the impact of trauma, which can have profound impacts on coping, resiliency, and skill development. ACYF promotes a trauma-informed approach, which involves understanding and responding to the symptoms of chronic interpersonal trauma and traumatic stress across the lifespan. The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) provides the primary federal funding stream dedicated to the support of emergency shelter and supportive services for victims of domestic violence and their dependents. It helps fund core domestic violence services across the country, including crisis response, safe housing, advocacy, counseling, legal assistance, safety planning, and comprehensive support. |
| ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS | Continuation Funding Only Applicants are limited to agencies located in Georgia that are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that meet the eligibility requirements outlined in this solicitation. This RFA is to assist with the funding of state-certified domestic violence shelter programs to provide intervention services, awareness, and education to Georgia’s citizens on domestic violence prevention strategies that will change the attitudes of communities. Applicant agencies should be certified and eligible to receive Local Victim Assistance Program (LVAP) 5% funds and be certified to provide trauma-informed services to trafficking victims by CJCC. Agencies without certification may apply for funding; however, if funding is awarded the agency will have to complete certification requirements prior to drawing down funds. In FY25, the agency must be recognized by the state of Georgia as a state-funded certified domestic violence shelter in order to receive funding. |

| OVERVIEW | The Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP), authorized by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022, provides formula funds to support gun violence reduction programs and initiatives. Grant funding will focus on behavioral health deflection, which refers to strategies and programs within the criminal justice system designed to redirect individuals with behavioral health needs away from traditional punitive measures (such as incarceration) and towards rehabilitative and supportive services. These strategies aim to address the underlying issues of behavioral health and reduce potential violence by providing alternatives to prosecution and promoting interventions that support recovery and reintegration into society. |
| ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS | Units of local government in the State of Georgia. Priority consideration will be given to existing recipients under the FY 2022-2023 Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program Grant. Current, FY22-23 nonprofit grantees are also eligible to apply for continuation funding, but this solicitation is not open to new nonprofits. |

| OVERVIEW | The Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP), authorized by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022, provides formula funds to support gun violence reduction programs and initiatives. For this project, grant funds can be used by eligible entities to expand the capacity of existing accountability courts to assist participants who may be most likely to become involved with violent crime and support the implementation of peer support programming, which is a vital part of the continuum of care for efforts to combat the effects of violence. Funding will specifically support the implementation (including specialists’ certifications and training) of peer support programming, which is a vital part of the continuum of care for efforts to combat the effects of gun violence. |
| ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS | Applicants are limited to units of local government in the State of Georgia to apply on behalf of accountability courts that provide criminal justice and civil proceeding services to communities within Georgia. Priority consideration will be given to 1) existing recipients under the FY 2022-2023 Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program Grant or 2) those that meet the less-than-$10K eligibility criteria. | OVERVIEW | The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is pleased to announce that we are seeking applications for funding under the FY24 Residential Substance Use Treatment (RSAT) Grant Program. This grant program furthers the assistance for states and local governments in the development and implementation of substance use disorder treatment programs in state and local correctional and detention facilities. Grant funds will be made for a 12-month grant award period. |

| OVERVIEW | The Children in Need of Services (CHINS) Grants Program provides funding for the implementation of programming for prevention from the juvenile justice system and intervention services for youth as alternatives to detention. Funding will be used to promote programming related to CHINS. Programming should be evidence supported or evidence based. Additionally, applicants may include time of a personnel position for the administration purposes of this grant, however, applications prioritizing funds for direct service will be prioritized. |
| ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS | Applicants are limited to local county commissions/boards of commissioners, city governments, or school districts. The availability of funds is dependent on appropriations from OJP. The Office reserves the right to reduce the amount of funds available based on government budgetary actions. The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, administers these funds at the national level. Priority will be given to applicants who have partnerships and/or letters of support with multiple agencies (i.e. juvenile court with law enforcement, or school with juvenile court). | OVERVIEW | The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is a component of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). Created in 1995, OVW implements VAWA and subsequent legislation as well as provides national leadership on issues of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and/or stalking. Since its inception, OVW has supported a multifaceted approach to crime response through implementation of grant programs authorized by VAWA. By forging state, local, and tribal partnerships among police, prosecutors, judges, victim advocates, health care providers, faith leaders, organizations that serve culturally specific and underserved communities, and others, OVW grants help provide victims with the protection and services they need to pursue safe and healthy lives while improving communities’ capacity to hold offenders accountable for their crimes. By statute, the S.T.O.P. Formula Grant Program supports communities in their efforts to develop and strengthen effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies to combat violent crimes against women and to develop and strengthen victim services in cases involving violent crimes against women. |
