SAFE-Inventory Tracking and Reporting Grant
SAFE-Inventory Tracking and Reporting Grant
- Awarded by the National Institute of Justice to create a statewide Sexual Assault Kit (SAK) tracking system. This $1.4M award allows Georgia to put in place a tracking system for all SAKs from the time it is distributed through testing. The purpose of having a tracking system is to provide sexual assault victims and criminal justice stakeholders accurate and timely information about the location of SAKs—thus preventing future SAK backlogs.
- From this grant, CJCC is developing the Georgia Sexual Assault Kit Tracking Website – This site will allow victims to track their SAK as it moves through the justice system.
