Judge Thomas Cole

Judge Thomas Cole is the Chairman of Executive Committee of the Georgia Council of Accountability Court Judges (CACJ). He has been active in the CACJ since its creation in 2015, having served as Chair of the Nominations and Funding Committees and as Vice Chair of the Executive Committee. He is the Presiding Judge of the Chatham County Juvenile Court. Prior to becoming a full-time juvenile court judge in 2015, Judge Cole was in the private practice of law from 1993-2015, and he served as a part-time Judge of the Thunderbolt Municipal Court, as Chief Judge of the Port Wentworth Municipal Court, and as a Judge Pro-Tem in Chatham County's Superior, Juvenile, and Recorder’s Courts. Judge Cole began his public service as a staff member in the Executive Office of the President of the United States in 1988. He served as Chairman of the Chatham County Republican Party, as Chairman of the Chatham County Board of Elections, on the City of Savannah Civil Service Board, as Chairman of the Board of Consumer Credit Counseling of Savannah, as President of the Catholic Lawyers Guild, and in other civic and service organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership Savannah. He also serves as an officer of the Executive Committee of the Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges.
