In observation of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October), Atlanta Victim Assistance, Inc. (AVA) will be hosting its 5th Annual Domestic Violence Resource Fair which is completely FREE to the public with FREE food, gifts, and entertainment. This event will feature an array of social services related to domestic violence and education. This event is held to connect victims of domestic violence and their families to resources that help them overcome victimization and prevent further assault; to educate and engage the public and provide visitors with resources to assist with transitioning beyond victim to survivor.

The Domestic Violence Awareness Resource Fair has confirmed the participation of organizations that provide direct services to victims of domestic violence or focus on the prevention of domestic violence. This largely attended event provides one cohesive educational outreach opportunity for visitors and participants to be informed about the resources available to victims of domestic violence and their families.
