We are partnering with the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST LA), the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN), and the Human Trafficking Legal Center to provide a training titled, "Justice for Trafficking Victims: Criminal Restitution and Civil Remedies." This training, intended for pro bono attorneys and victim advocates, will cover crime victims’ rights in federal human trafficking cases, criminal restitution orders for victims, the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, and civil litigation against traffickers.
The presenters will be: Susan Coppedge, former Ambassador-at-Large for the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the United States Department of State, and Martina Vandenberg, President of the Human Trafficking Legal Center.
