This program is designed for nurses or other medical personnel who are interested in providing forensic-medical assessments and care to pediatric victims of sexual assault. The 40 hour didactic portion is conducted over a 5 (8 hr) day period and attendance for the entire training is required to receive continuing education credit hours. This course is designed to provide registered nurses with a comprehensive education program consisting of:

  • Assessment
  • Examination
  • Collection of forensic evidence
  • Evaluation of pediatric sexual assault patients
