As an Assistant District Attorney in the Cobb County District Attorney's Office assigned to the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Unit (SAKI), Trina Griffiths investigates and prosecutes these cases in Cobb County. She collaborates with other State and County agencies regarding best practices and policy development for handling these challenging cases.

 Ms. Griffiths graduated from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in 1989. She worked in civil law until becoming a prosecutor in Cobb County in 1996. Ms. Griffiths left after over a decade of prosecution to practice criminal defense, which gives her valuable insight while trying cases in her current position. Ms. Griffiths is thrilled to have returned home as a prosecutor to work on SAKI cases. She says, “I can’t change what happened in the past, but when SAKI identifies the perpetrator, I can sure change what happens in the future.”
