Atlanta, GA – Today the Victims Compensation Division of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) hosted a Regional Victims Comp 101 Training in Forsyth, Georgia conducted by Training and Outreach Coordinator, Dannielle Lewis. The training was filled with service providers and advocates eager to learn about the programs offered to aid victims. The goal of today’s training, and similar ones conducted throughout the year, is to educate service providers and advocates on the programs available to assist Georgia victims of violent crime.

During today’s training, Lewis used interactive scenarios to highlight all of the programs offered and answered questions from service providers. Lewis covered the application process, victims compensation benefits, application requirements and deadlines, and other program resources.
