Overall Factors Addressed: Lack of awareness/knowledge, norms and beliefs, patterns of behavior/activities

Overall Focus of Projects: Raising awareness and providing education to a wide range of audiences.

Project Name: “Sleepless Inn Atlanta”

Target Groups:  Motels in the South Fulton area of Atlanta

Target Risk Factors Addressed: 1) The transient nature of the motel industry; 2) The ease with which this industry is able to fly “under the radar”

Description of Project: A project to educate hotel and motel owners on Georgia’s HB 141 notification law, and to subsequently provide them with the resources needed to comply with the law.

Goals and Objectives: 1) Increase the awareness of the HB 141 Law in Georgia for hotel and motel owners in the South Fulton area of Atlanta; 2) Identify topics for potential training projects in the future for hotel and motel owners; 3) Identify and approach 20 hotel/motel owners; 4) Achieve 50% compliance with Georgia Law by posting the required flyers (10/20); 5) Provide resources and information for those at risk and/or currently being exploited
